SSB streetcar S-DT8.16 Stuttgart

streetcar

With the new DT8.16 streetcar, the city of Stuttgart is getting a state-of-the-art, unique vehicle that will take urban public transport to a sustainable, future-oriented level. The design of the streetcar is determined by 2 main themes: 1. the strong tradition of the predecessor vehicles. The DT8.16 is intended to be modern and forward-looking and yet fit harmoniously into the “family group”. 2. Stuttgart is an architecturally and design-oriented city. The clear, orthogonal exterior & interior structure, partly inspired by the design features of the “Bauhaus” and the “Ulm School”, is intended to do justice to Stuttgart's character.
