Samsung SDI has recently developed a new type of material, starex® Extrusion ABS, with superb chemical resistance and thin-wall characteristics. This new material was primarily developed to prevent cracks in refrigerator liners which are formed due to the chemical property of the high-efficiency blowing agent that is expected to be used in the near future. Moreover, its thin-wall feature (30% thinner than traditional HIPS material) not only saves raw material costs but also makes it the perfect choice for products that require a slim and sleek design.
