Mobile laser welder

The newly-developed StarWeld Tool Open from Rofin allows the use of laser technology for the on-site repair of large molds. With great speed and precision, the weight-compensated articulated arm is positioned on the workpiece. The welding process is then controlled in all three axes by means of a mobile joystick and monitored using a microscope or camera. The optical fiber is routed along the articulated arm like an artery from the integrated power source to the processing head. The unit is easily transported and has a compact and uncluttered design; operator control elements and cables are stored away in a compartment after use. The articulated arm is retracted into a space-saving transport position. The design of the StarWeld Tool Open conveys a high degree of mobility and flexibility.
