Energy Saving Product Service System

In the city of Milan, more than 1000 schools are exposed to nitrogen dioxide concentrations higher than the legal limit of 40 μg/m³, which is already 4 times the WHO’s recommendation. The Stelo System includes innovations such as Stelo Air, our modular plant-based indoor air purifier, able to efficiently clean an average-sized classroom (65 m²) air in 15 minutes using almost no electricity. Designed with indoor public spaces in mind, it aims to create a safe environment for children to grow and learn about nature, instilling an awareness of environmental standards.

JURY STATEMENT

The most natural way of living is to live with nature. Unfortunately, most of us do not have that luxury. Bringing plants indoors to purify the air is the next best option, especially for school environments. Clean air, clear mind.

WINNER STATEMENT

We are deeply honored to accept the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD. We would like to thank our professors for their guidance, as well as all our family and friends who supported us in this journey. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to designing for a sustainable future.
