STERILIZED BAND-AIDS
Sterilized band-aids
When people suffer minor skin trauma in the form of shallow cuts or abrasions, their first response is often to apply a band-aid to cover the wound for the purpose of hemostasis. Yet this simple treatment poses a safety hazard, as it allows bacteria on the surface of the wound to penetrate into the subcutaneous tissue, thus causing infection. Sterilized band-aids combine the two steps of disinfection and dressing.
Many people are afraid of applying disinfectants to a fresh wound, and their immediate instinct is often to cover it up. This product helps overcome that fear. The band-aid plasters are individually packaged with instructions for use, and so are very easy to apply, even for first-time users.
WINNER STATEMENTWhen designing the sterile band-aids, we thought of how to design innovative products that can improve the quality of life. I am very glad to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD. Thank you for recognizing us through this award, which encourages us to continue solving design problems and bringing convenience to more people.
