Service unit for picnic areas
Knud Holscher Design has created a concept for toilet modules for the Danish Road Directory. The modules are primarily for use in picnic areas along the Danish highways. Designparameters were safety and security for the user, flexibility and architectural adaptability to a variety of situations. Double toughened glass facades with integrated lighting fixtures serve as both external as well as internal lighting for the modules. The modules are designed in close connection to the surrounding pavement to create effortless access for disabled persons. The development of a series of modular sanitary components has been worked out in collaboration with Juvel A/S.
