Street Lamp Bird Nest

Street lamps are often chosen by birds as temporary nesting places. Street Lamp Bird Nest makes full use of this practice. A simple modification of traditional street lamps creates a recessed platform on top of the lamp to allow birds to nest. At the same time, the well-designed rainwater drainage groove diverts rainwater from the top of the street lamps to the surrounding lawn, helping to water it.
Urbanization disturbs the natural environment of most species, so this design offers a compromise. This street lighting system serves its core lighting function while also creating an environment for birds to build their nests. The integrated water drainage and nesting unit contribute to a sustainable street lamp design.
