Subjekt: private public
Specialised magazine in file format
Can anonymity and individuality still be guarantied today? In which way is our private live subject to control, how often on a normal day are we under surveillance and our data recorded? The first issue of the magazine Subjekt aims at confronting the viewer with the topic of the globalisation of surveillance and to go beyond the scope of traditional magazines. Subjekt is released as a file on a fictive woman: K.N. The file represents a visualisation of the digital databases and is made up of individual data sheets that contain information on K.N. Filed together these form a personality profile that the user can identify with. On the face, the pages visualise in an illustrative way the data collected on K.N. while their reverse contains information on reality to go with it. The magazine includes a short audiovisual trailer that introduces the topic.
