Substance use disorder mothers and pregnant women (SUDm) despite difficulties; often do not refer to recovery centers due to maternal responsibility. Parvin house is the first recovery center for SUDm with their children in Iran. Rebounding mother and child, providing recovery services, empowerment, improving physical and mental health and parenting skills are program's achievements. Parvin, unlike other masculine centers, is Iran’s only gender sensitive center, which provides tailor-made services to mothers and their children. Supporting this center expands the possibility of providing services to more clients.
The project is valuable because in a country where there's a difficult situation for woman, it tries to address people with stigma, helping them to take care of themselves and their babies. I think that the contribution can make a difference for them.
