Hemp-based Sustainable Medical Wear with DPP
WORKING HASEGAWA Co., Ltd.sukui was designed to solve the dual challenge of waste and CO2 emissions from mass-produced uniforms and the need for comfort in healthcare. Made from carbon-negative hemp spun with linen-spinning, it achieves silk-like softness, strength, and breathability. A blockchain-based Digital Product Passport (DPP) records and visualizes CO2 and supply-chain data for transparency. Its circular design supports cleaning, repair, reuse, and composting to extend life and reduce waste. In addition to comfort, sukui embodies a balance of carbon-negativity, transparency, and circular design, redefining medical wear as a symbol of sustainable innovation.
