Land titling against poverty and violence

In Colombia, informal land tenure is at the root of the armed conflict that has displaced over 6 million people since 1985, breeding violence and corruption. Over 52% of rural land plots were informal in 2020. Suyo provides tech-based land formalization services for low-income families, democratizing land tenure and promoting resilient communities. Since 2015 we’ve serviced over 2,800 families, with 36,300 overall beneficiaries. 60% of our beneficiaries are women and property values increase an average of 57% after formalization. Currently involved in mass land titling programs, we will reach 600,000 overall beneficiaries in the next 2 years.
