Total Appearance Capture (TAC™) is a ground-breaking technology that enables the creation of virtual renderings with the same optical characteristics as the real material. TAC7 captures and stores a physical material’s color, texture, gloss and other surface appearance characteristics as an Appearance exchange File (AxF). AxF files can be shared across PLM, CAD and rendering applications to create a new level of realism in virtual designs. Designers, 3D artists, material specifiers and marketers can use TAC7 at all stages of the product development process from designing products and creating marketing materials to point-of-sale tools.
