The plum, orchid, bamboo and chrysanthemum are commonly referred to as the Four Worthy Lords in Chinese culture. The use of these Lords as the volumes design concept expresses the way that posters from different countries, embodying different aesthetics and content, can compete in a praiseworthy atmosphere of mutual respect and admiration. The crystalloid acrylic on the books edge represents the fairness and transparency of the competition and the book binding suggests an ancient book conforming to Oriental culture. The inner pages were designed with a high degree of whiteness and vanish effects to make the pictures look more solid.
