Tang Prize was first established in February, 2012. It presents awards to four different fields and they are presented in the scrolls at the first annual ceremony. The images are portrayed in oriental esthetics with a modern take. On the four scrolls, the beam of light stretches into the sky and the earth to represent sustainable development. Shades of dots and cells symbolize biopharmaceutical science. Touches of Chinese ink-wash for sinology and the brilliance of peace represents the establishment of rule of law.
