Region guide system

Requirements: information design fostering the identity of a special region. Idea: benches as sound, ecologically manufactured information platforms. The combination of simple wooden benches made of planed, natural larch and the CNC-routed conical intaglio characters in the wood with interesting messages gives the elements a greater concrete and symbolic effect. By this means, the user, in the midst of a remarkably beautiful landscape, becomes conversant with details from the history and stories of each of the locations. Additional information is supplied by a web platform with interactive cartography based on Google Maps: www.tannberg.info.
