Tapete Broinha
Handmade rug
Alves de Araujo Têxtil Ltda.
A rug made by hand, using excess polyamide spandex fabric disposed of by textile industries. Small cloth rings, which are similar to the shape of biscuits (resulting in the name Broinha maize bread given by the actual weavers), are joined together one by one, forming a carpet. For one m², 600 Broinhas are required. The rug is resistant to humidity and presents excellent performance in wet areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens. It can be easily washed with water and neutral detergent.
