TATUNG Co., Ltd.

More than 17 million TATUNG electric cookers have been sold since they were introduced in 1961. Eight out of ten families own this versatile and durable household appliance, which turns out to be an emblem of quality products “Made in Taiwan” (MIT). An interactive exhibition was curated at the Taipei World Design Expo 2011 in which 100 white cookers were used as platforms for innovative display. With multimedia interfaces, the youngsters’ creativity could be automatically pieced together and projected onto the wall of the cookers. Such an interactive design rejuvenated the brand image of this old goody to meet the beginning of a new era.
