Theatre chair

The chair design is inspired by the freedom of movement needed by a spectator of the modern theatre. The action of a theatre piece is no longer limited to the stage, requiring a spectator to move freely while seated in order to follow the action. The round seat and curved shell of the chair allow for a range of viewing positions, providing comfortable back support even when turning up to 45°. When sitting in this angled position, the seatback serves as an armrest, supporting a relaxed but upright position. The chair also helps to ensure proper acoustics in the space, with an empty chair absorbing the same amount of sound as a person.
