Community center

This project transforms a textile mill into an arts center. The design respects the original culture and residual status of the space by retaining historical elements and equipping it with modern diversified functional areas, lending it a new vitality. The center follows the architectural structure of the old mill, and the designers translated the yarn elements and the textile machines into a modern design language. The historical exhibition hall is used mainly to display and promote the history and cultural development of the Hangzhou textile industry. The space can be divided into two major areas: the historical exhibition hall and the community art center as a venue for various artistic activities.
