The design needed to both define this hostel brand and reshape the perception of what a hostel represents. The typical standardized cheap design approach this type of accommodations was discarded and instead, the focus shifted to what constitutes the spirit of a hostel. This design views the hostel as a place where people gather together, sleep in the same space, cook in groups, and socialize. The designers created a space where the areas are both functional but also help forged bonds between the people using the space.
