The Altar
Restaurant design
Reminiscent of an intimate 1920's salon, this bar is bathed in night. Walls, floors and ceiling are monochrome, with only a touch of gold accent. The design wavers between new and old, fast and slow, brilliant and gloomy. The designers themselves wax poetic when they speak of the Altar: "The candles and their flames are a sacrificial ritual that crawl at the feet of time".
