The Autobiography of Hilton Seoul
Exhibition Design
JOOSUNG DESIGN LABThe Autobiography of Hilton Seoul examines how the social, cultural, and spatial context of a building endures or disappears over time. Centering on Hilton Seoul—an icon of 1983 Korean modernist architecture now facing demolition—the exhibition traces its dismantling through documentation and memory, questioning how architectural legacy can persist as recollection. Installed across four floors near the original site, it moves from witnessing the hotel’s death to reflecting on its origins and preservation, ending with a restored miniature train evoking collective memory of its era.
