The Breath of the Pamir

Programmes for the poor to address climate change

Pamir Breath addresses electricity shortages and climate challenges in underdeveloped regions. Its installation requires only 5 people and takes 4 to 6 days, promoting community harmony and ties. Operating without electricity, it relies on natural wind-driven thermal convection, in contrast to the resource exploitation common in developed nations.

JURY STATEMENT

This project is an innovative adaptation of a traditional cooling principle. Its clean, architectural design combines local materials with passive climate control, resulting in a low-energy solution that blends seamlessly into the existing spaces.

WINNER STATEMENT

We believe design should not merely celebrate life, but answer the pain too often unheard. This honor affirms that those beyond the spotlight have not been forgotten — that conscience and beauty can stand side by side, carried by the winds of the Pamir Mountains.
