The Breeze of Yamate Bluff

Chapel Space

This chapel renovation adjacent to Harbor View Park in Yamate integrates the area's rich history as "The Bluff." Our design embodies the "pleasant breeze" gracefully sweeping from the sea, giving it physical form through softly curving wooden walls and antique-finished travertine. This stone honors the local "Bluff Masonry" (Bluff-Zumi) and the settlement's brick architecture. By weaving Yamate's atmosphere and material heritage, we crafted a timeless sanctuary. We aimed for a space that will be cherished by couples, guests, and the entire local community for generations, connecting them to the spirit of this unique location.
