The Deep Courtyard

Spatial design

The space is made from south to north in five relationships, layer by layer, dissolving the uneasiness brought by the original long and narrow layout, and realizing the overlapping and penetration of the line of motion and the line of sight. The public and private areas penetrate through the line of action, and the atrium of the traditional courtyard is reproduced, which plays the role of diverting the flow and makes the originally irregular space orderly. "The meaning of "how much" and "how deep the courtyard is" also implies that the house carries a lot of beautiful expectations for the new family.
