The nearly 30-year-old community apartment features a large beam that crosses the apartment at a height of less than 210 cm. Because of the beam, the structure of the apartment is imbalanced and incomplete. The architects simplified the public sphere by replacing the living room with a dining room and keeping the storage space in the private sphere by highlighting a plain and natural atmosphere. By covering both sides of the beam with zebra wood and titanium-plated metal and reinforcing the visual effects of the beam artistically, they turned the largest defect into the soul of the space.
