The Exhibition of MIROKU-Crone Cultural Properties
Exhibition Design in a Museum
Tokyo University of the Arts
This exhibition was designed for crone cultural properties (especially large-size ones) at the museum in Tokyo University of the Arts ( TUA ). These crones were produced by the TUA and they were replicas of Miroku deified on the Silk Road. Miroku is one of the Buddhas of Buddhism, transmitted from Gandhara to Japan. The highlight of the exhibition was the crone of the "Blue Miroku", which had a strong influence on other Mirokus. The exhibition 's design had two aims: First, visitors should feel what makes "Blue Miroku" special from others. Second, they could discover Mirokus in neighboring and distant countries that affected each other.
