The designer wanted to differentiate this project from more conventional interiors through a novel use of spatial arrangements and materials. The core design concept is that “a living space centered around the kitchen can bring the family closer”. Instead of creating dividing walls in the public area, the designer used hidden divisions or hallways surrounding the open-end kitchen, and machine-cute island-themed wooden flooring. The designer used several experimental materials to create a one-of-a-kind interior style. There are no walls and paths in the common area while the storage of large items has been moved to the corners. This maximizes the sense of space.
