The Farmer Platform

Digital climate performance platform

A climate performance platform built to help combat the climate crisis, field by field. Food producing farms stands for 23 % of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions. This digital tool aims to reduce that number, by letting farmers easily report on farm activities and join programs that reward their transition to sustainable activities. Since farmers tend to hate reporting, we decided to involve them early in the design process. Insights from the collaboration of farmers, designers and developers was turned into thought-out pixel perfection, leading up to a user interface loved by farmers – and the planet.

iF Gold Statement

Agriculture accounts for nearly a quarter of global greenhouse gas emissions, so clearly farmers must be part of the solution to the climate crisis. This digital platform, which was developed with direct input from farmers, guides and motivates them to produce food in a manner that is both economical and climate-friendly. The jury was impressed by how well the interface is adapted to its target group.
