Tea House Fusing Japanese Crafts and Architecture

Located in the Japan Exhibition Room in the National Museum of Asian Art in Berlin, this tea house was the winner of an international competition. The tea house conveys the spirit of the tea ceremony to visitors through tours and hands-on experience, and is highly regarded for its artistic design and functionality that allows for a full demonstration of the tea ceremony. It is also a proposal for a new architectural style called "craft architecture," in which architects and craftsmen worked as a team from concept-making to production.
