The Joy of Living

Contemporary renovation of a heritage home

The Joy of Living reinterprets a 1904 apartment in Donostia, transforming its compact 92 m² into a luminous and flowing home. Curved forms connect spaces with softness, while wood and ceramic evoke warmth and memory. By embracing the building’s history rather than erasing it, Arquimaña creates a contemporary dwelling where light, materiality, and family life coexist in a joyful continuity between past and present.
