The Ocean and Sky Children's Hospice in Yokohama

Building

Children with life-threatening illnesses (LTC) and their families often spend their lives mainly caring for their children in the limited environment of hospitals and homes, isolated between the medical, welfare, and educational systems, and burdened mentally, physically, economically, and socially. Unlike adults who have received terminal care, children grow day by day, even if they are in LTC. The Children's Hospice aims to provide such children with a place and opportunity to play and learn with their siblings and families in a safe environment, even during the limited time of their lives, and to enrich their lives in a unique way.
