The Sound Of Music
Musical instrument
Music education contributes to the eradication of poverty, not only by improving children’s communication skills and memory, but also by building their self-confidence and making it easier for them to reject negative influences and working towards their future. T.S.O.M attaches easily to plastic bottles of different shapes and sizes, instantly turning them into wind instruments. Tone depends on the shape of the bottle and how much liquid it contains, while holes along the top of the attachment allow different notes to be played. Since the main materials are readily available, this is an ultra-low-cost instrument that initiates children into a love of making music while also inspiring them to make better use of various discarded objects.
This is a product that makes it easy to explore the resonance effect within a wind instrument. The close relation between volume and sound is demonstrated in a very intuitive manner. Also, it is an interesting idea to create a wind instrument by upcycling plastic waste.
