The Warm Clinic

Service design

The high infection rate of COVID-19 has caused panic in society. People are worried about the risk of cluster infection when seeking medical attention at a hospital. This inhibits many people from visiting a hospital or clinic when they need to, but also places huge mental pressure on medical personnel. When people need to go to the hospital, social distancing can still be maintained. This design changes the process of face-to-face medical attention and generates a service of virtual medicine.

JURY STATEMENT

The design team did a great analysis of patient flow in a typical hospital setting and translated their findings into a re-design of the hospital layout and patient flow. The implementation of all these ideas will increase the safety of patients and reassure them that they are safe during a hospital visit. The work of the design team shows that new hospitals need to be designed with the most optimal patient flow and safety in mind.

WINNER STATEMENT

It is a great honor to receive the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD. The pandemic has likely brought many changes to how people live. We hope that our design could help more people in need during the pandemic. We deeply appreciate the recognition of our project.
