The You Art Centre, Changde

The You Art Centre, located in Changde, is a new cultural venue for contemporary art exhibition and aesthetic education. The new simple cube replaces the traditional "white box" not only in appearance, but also in its intrinsic and imposing spatial quality. The project vision is to use urban art as a medium and catalyst for city improvement and redevelopment, and to promote aesthetic education for better public spaces, urban art and living. Hence, the project helps to rebrand the old city identity for a greater exposure and understanding.
