Pen & pencil

Hiroshi Mitachi Design

The Tilde pen is a writing instrument characterized by a soft texture like that of a knitted item. It is produced using a FDM-type 3D printer and is designed to exhibit a combination of productivity, beauty, and resin properties, with a knit-like layering technique, a clip mechanism realized through bending that considers strength in the direction of the fibers, and a cap attachment/detachment mechanism realized through control of the knitting thickness. Made from natural PLA resin, it can be easily disassembled by hand for recycling by breaking it in the direction of the fibers, thus reducing the cost of crushing.
