The goal was to create a public place for citizens to explore freely and spend time. The layers of straight lines and the shifting of light and shadow inspired the design to let visitors feel the wonder of natural light and shadows and the warmth of life. The large staircase winds upward, combining with the mirrored ceiling to blur the boundaries and create a ladder to the sky. The large glass area on the ceiling enables people to see clouds when they look up, making them feel sheltered by the sky.
