Tools for Life - Empowering Kibera pregnant women

Provide lifelong tool to bring economic support

The project aims to empower young pregnant women in Kibera in sewing skills. We seek to solve the lack of tools that a young mother without education may have. The impact is for life. In the first instance, they are empowered and they are sought to be the protagonists of the change that they will see in the future. This project is born from the real needs in Kibera and seeks to deliver knowledge in an area that will be useful for life. What makes our program unique is that the tool we give them can be executed from their own homes and thus, they do not leave their families.

JURY STATEMENT

I absolutely love this project and i HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Women generate revenue at home and further develop skills to make them more employable. I love the model of having the factory at individual homes so it beings down the operational coast and increases the profitability

WINNER STATEMENT

We were taken by surprise and thanks to this gift from heaven, is that we will be able to continue throughout this year providing knowledge and sewing tools to more women in Kibera. There are no words to describe our happiness and we will be grateful for life.
