Wearable VR device

TouchDIVER lets VR users naturally interact with virtual objects. The device dynamically reproduces the sensation of touching surfaces with high fidelity by rendering forces (stiff vs. fluffy), temperature (metal feels colder than wood), and surface textures. TouchDIVER solves the problem of providing natural interactions with VR environments, thus improving memorability. It eliminates the “point and clicks” UX typical of VR controllers, replacing it with a natural “grasp and manipulate” scheme. The device is unique in providing force, temperature, and texture feedback at the same time and is co-located on the fingertip in a truly wearable device.
