



Trophic - The Future of Fish Farming
Sustainable Aquaculture Concept
Trophic is a speculative design project focused on the future of sustainable aquaculture amid climate change challenges, such as rising temperatures and deoxygenation. It proposes a Net Zero approach that enhances production through symbiotic, multi-trophic species and uses engineered living materials to rejuvenate marine ecosystems. Trophic encourages us to rethink aquaculture to create systems that restore both the environment and the surrounding communities.
Trophic links a significant global challenge to an innovative and visually coherent speculative solution. The project is well-structured, clearly explained, and compelling in its vision of aquaculture as a system benefiting both marine ecosystems and local communities.
