Post-earthquake location rescue system
This post-earthquake search and rescue system consists of a terminal robot, a UAV, a positioning device, a remote control, and a searcher. Once the terminal robot arrives at the disaster site, the UAV locates buried victims through thermal sensing and drops a positioning device to their location, while transmitting information on the condition of the buried people to the terminal robot via radio. Based on this feedback, staff can arrange for rescuers to attend to the survivors. The UAV positioning device guides search and rescue personnel to complete a quick rescue while using voice announcements to encourage and reassure the trapped people.
UAV locator is a creative solution that shows an understanding of the technical complexity of search and rescue operations. The concept brings a designer's eye to an easily neglected product system.
WINNER STATEMENTI am honored to receive the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD. This project combined the hard work and wisdom of each of us and we will continue to build on it. I would like to thank the iF jury for their recognition.
