This design is a complete update to the packaging for Ujikoen tea, a Kyoto-based company established in 1865 during the Edo period. Usually, Japanese tea is packaged in four different styles, one for each type and purpose of a specific tea. This new design switches priorities, offering packaging that is easy to use for customers. The concept relies on a single consistent aesthetic, eliminating the use of excessive ink and other materials that would negatively impact the environment. The design strives to broaden the audience for Ujikoen's quality Japanese tea, regardless of their age, gender, and nationality for generations to come.
