Unter den Brücken / Beneath the Bridges

This photographic book aims to be a Gesamtkunstwerk, sometimes translated as universal artwork. "Everything from one source," says creator Walter Oczlon, who wore many hats on the project: photography, text, graphic design, concept, layout, typography and pre-press. The bridges of the A10 Tauern motorway in Austria connect the north of Europe with the south, running right through the Alps. And yet these bridges barely noticed, with next to no symbolic value. The book explores the notion that while the names of these bridges are unknowns, their function is major.
