Upcycling Guitar
Electric guitar
Yamaha CorporationConcept model electric guitars and a project that sought to create new instruments using defective and scrap wood from musical instrument manufacturing processes. Making musical instruments uses a lot of precious, high-quality wood, with the shape and quality of the wood used for the acoustic sections of these instruments being particularly important. The "Marimba" model guitar is made of the rosewood used in marimba tone bars, while the "Piano" model features scrap and defective spruce, beech, birch, and maple wood intended for pianos, with each instrument making the most of the characteristics of the various wood types.
