Board game
Up&Down is a board that can provide a new way of playing Go. Up&Down itself includes Go boards and pieces. The pieces, which are made of silica gel, are retractable, pulling upward to represent a white piece and pressing down to represent a black piece. Up&Down offers users an unprecedented experience and helps them better understand the culture of Go.
The main drawback of the traditional strategy game, Go, was not only its weight and volume, but also the fragility of its pieces. This design is judged to be a good example of solving these shortcomings at once, while applying a modern sensibility to a traditional product.
