“Uz” represents the basic function menu of a home gateway. In a well-organized display, it communicates useful information to the user when he/she is going out as well as information on the status of the networked electronic devices. Since more and more functions are being integrated into home gateway systems, Uz has its focus on designing an easier way to control those functions. With Uz, users do not have to go through several screens to execute a function, but can execute desired functions no more than two levels deep from the main shell.
