Architecture & Interiors
This project is a real estate showroom for a China based developer. The architecture and interior are designed as one based on the principal of a Chinese courtyard house. A simplified Chinese pattern is used as a motif, like Chinese paper cutting, to create a pink veil wrapping the outside of the pavilion. Made of fibre reinforced cement, it also becomes a focus from the inside looking out. The pattern motif is repeated in the interior in a series of wooden screens to subdivide the various seating groups.
