Cooking device

Increasing urbanization means that people are forced to live in smaller, more efficient spaces. They no longer have room for a big kitchen equipped with many different devices. To address this issue, I developed Vario, the most important kitchen tool you need in any kitchen! Through the use of a base plate with an integrated induction ring (for heat transfer) and a magnetic ring (for rotating motion), you combine the most important functions in one kitchen device. A variety of different interchangeable tops extends the multi-functionality and enables you to customize the device to meet your individual cooking needs. The options are countless!

JURY STATEMENT

This project uses a technological solution to present a kitchen unit with a multi-functional set of conveniences, but still emphasizes the action of cooking at home. It is a project that reflects a design combining a high-quality product with high-quality performance.

WINNER STATEMENT

I feel grateful to have been given the honor of receiving the iF DESIGN TALENT AWARD 2017. I really appreciate it as it confirms that I am on the right track to becoming the designer I have been striving to become for all these years. I also want to thank the Umeå Institute of Design, which has no doubt been crucial to my development.
