Material compound ball valve

All components in pipe systems conveying abrasive materials should ideally be equipped with wear resistant liners made of high-tech ceramics. Balls as components of ball valves used to be made of just one material, which implied advantages and disadvantages. CeramTec-ETEC’s solution: a valve ball made of steel with a passageway protected by ALOTEC® provides maximum wear protection, with the steel body absorbing the driving power. This material combination is extremely sturdy and helps reducing costs many times over in comparison to other conventional solutions: wear, downtimes and contamination of the conveyed materials can be notably reduced.
