Vertescale is a baropodometer designed for spinal condition analysis and improvement at home. Age 7-12 is a prime period for child skeletal growth. During that period, early stage abnormal spinal growth (such as scoliosis), which in most circumstances are invisible to be detected without professional equipment, can ultimately lead to lifelong health consequences such as chronic back pain or arthritis. Therefore, to prevent future spinal abnormality, ongoing detection is important. As a scale embedded with 64 pressure-sensing detection points and an AI algorithm, Vertescale aims to make at-home spinal condition analysis and improvement easy.
